All applications will be dealt with by Ishtiaq Hussain, Partner and Director at this firm who qualified over 20 years ago.  His hourly rate is £250.00 plus VAT.

Visitor visa application

Main stages

  • Discussing in detail your circumstances and confirming whether this is the most appropriate application for you to make and what other options may be available to you;
  • Advise you on the process and documentation needed to apply for a visitor visa application, together with the strategy for demonstrating that you meet the relevant requirements within the UK Immigration Rules;
  • To draft, complete and submit your online application forms, and review all supporting documents;
  • Schedule your biometric appointment with the relevant UK Visa Application Centre and prepare all the documentation necessary for this;
  • Liaise with you and the UK Home Office as appropriate and deal with any other queries on the UK Immigration Rules, or application process, that may arise in respect of your initial visa application

Timescales

Typically, a visitor visa application can take 2-4 weeks to complete, but all cases are assessed on individual criteria and thus the time taken to consider an application can vary greatly, this is only a guide.

According to the government’s website, once the application has been made online, you have proved your identity and provided your documents, you’ll usually get a decision on your visa within 3 weeks.

Costs

We charge a fixed fee of £600 plus VAT for each applicant. Whether VAT will be payable on our fees and any disbursements will depend on where you are resident.

Disbursements

Disbursements are costs related to your matter that are payable to third parties, such as visa fees. We handle the payment of the disbursements on your behalf to ensure a smoother process. These can include (but not limited to):

  • Interpreter and/or translation fees. The costs for these services will vary widely dependant on the extent to which they are required, as well as the complexity of your case.
  • Independent expert reports e.g. medical experts. These are not required in many cases: we will let you know as soon as possible if we consider an expert report is necessary. 

The costs quoted here do not include:

Spouse/civil partner visa

Typically, a spouse/civil partner entry clearance/extension application can take 4 weeks to complete, but all cases are assessed on individual criteria and thus the time taken to consider an application can vary greatly, this is only a guide.

According to the government’s website, if you apply outside the UK you will usually get a decision within 24 weeks. If you apply inside the UK and you meet the financial and English language requirements, you will usually get a decision within 8 weeks.

If you apply inside the UK and you do not meet the financial requirements and English language requirements, it currently takes about 12 months to get a decision. You may be able to pay for a faster decision.

According to the government’s website, most applications are dealt with in less than 8 weeks. UKVI may need to visit your business. You may be able to pay an extra £500 to get a decision within 10 working days.
